MURTHA ALTERATIONS & ADDITIONS

This project transforms an existing waterfront home within a private gated community through significant alterations and additions. Central to the design is a new upper level that redefines the dwelling’s presence, capturing elevated water views while carefully integrating with the existing structure below. The result is an expansive home for a large family, thoughtfully composed to respond to its suburban setting and privileged waterfront outlook.

A complete interior redesign introduces a refined, contemporary coastal character, softened with subtle Mediterranean influences. Light, texture, and materiality are used to create a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere, with a focus on natural, neutral finishes, layered spaces, and seamless indoor–outdoor connections. The home balances openness and privacy, offering a considered retreat that enhances everyday living by the water.
